The Wille’s Tall Texas Tales - Featured Profile

Meet Erno and Marcella. Erno’s favorite pastime is to tell tales about his daredevil days growing up in the country. As a youngster he helped his family make whiskey during the prohibition and even smuggle it across county lines in a horse cart. Not to be outdone, Marcella is a great dancer and had wonderful memories about growing up in the hill country. We wanted to capture the stories and memories about small town Texas life for this special couple.

With Erno and Marcella’s big 65th wedding anniversary quickly approaching, Rory set to work capturing their best life stories. The first part of the book was focused on Erno’s daredevil days and the second part concentrated on Marcella’s life. The final biography was unveiled on their anniversary and came complete with over 25 surprise tributes from their closest friends and family members.

I just can’t tell you how much it meant to Daddy to finally complete his biography. The whole process was a wonderful experience and it gave us a chance to spend time listening to their best tales. It never would have been completed without Rory’s help. She was able to make sure Daddy’s best stories were saved while he could still tell them in his own special way.
